Color Schemes and Layouts

April 19, 2009

Lately I have been messing around with different layouts and themes for the Closed Loop. On the blog, I am tesing out this “dark and edgy” feeling to see how it sits. The Closed Loop @ Twitter has more of a “natural and light” look to it. Which is a better approach? Hm… let me know what you think. If I can find a happy medium that is “light, but edgy with a natural flair” I will be satisfied 🙂

heyy, so i read your blog and i just wanted to let you know. i think it is ultra cool! esp the experiment in itself.
i just started a blog as well, but i use blogspot and i am ultra-jealous of yours being so much prettier and better than mine… is there any major difference between blogspot and wordpress?

i like that black layout! the logo you choose is also very nice. i would try regular spacing in “loop” though, it looks a little bit like a pair of eyes staring at you o_O
    take care

i think i would prefer a lighter layout, sorry to disagree with you philip! i prefer a cleaner, slicker look but thats just personal preference i guess.

for the logo, i liked this circle the best but for the wording, i liked ‘cl’ inside it, but for the website heading you obviously need to do what you have done with writing ‘closed loop’ as you don’t know what it is otherwise, but for other branding things, i like ‘cl’.

for the final presentation, maybe making a video/dvd and distributing it around design/architecture… or anywhere you go! just a thought…
